SpaceX is such an exciting and inspirational company. It may surprise you to know that the company was actually founded way back in 2002. However, it’s only been placed under public attention in the last few years thanks to Elon Musk’s space mission. The more you read about SpaceX and the purpose behind the company, the more it helps motivate you to succeed in your life too. It’s a real story of hard work and dedication eventually pulling through and paying off!

To really illustrate how SpaceX motivates us to succeed, we need to go back in time to where it all began, 16 years ago…

Started From The Bottom Now We’re Here

Back in 2002, Elon Musk had a dream to try and establish life on Mars. He wanted to somehow fly a greenhouse up there and plant seeds to grow the first living things off-planet. Needless to say, he wasn’t met with enthusiasm from many space companies. He tried contacting a Russian business, but they said it was too expensive and wasn’t practical.

It seemed like his dream was potentially over before it even began until he realized that it might make more sense to fund everything himself, and start his own company. As a result, SpaceX was formed and began working on different rockets and ideas to help launch something into space. Fast forward to 2018, and we’ve already seen examples of this happening. Elon has sent rockets into space, and even a Tesla car! As one of our gorgeous t-shirts depicts, it’s really been a case of started from the bottom now we’re here for SpaceX!

Needless to say, this is motivational for anyone who’s at a point in their life where they’ve got dreams or aspirations, but feel like things are in their way. Maybe people are telling you your goals are unrealistic, or you might think they’re too hard to achieve. Learn a lesson from SpaceX; nothing is unachievable if you put your mind to it and have confidence in yourself and your dreams. People laughed when Elon Musk said he wanted to send a car into space, but as you can see on our stunning A Space Oddity Mug, he made it possible! Sure, it took a very long time, but that’s the moral of the story here; if you want something badly enough, you must be prepared to work hard for it, even if it takes 16 years!

Breaking Through Barriers

Falcon Heavy is one of the main things SpaceX is working on right now. As you can see on one of our Falcon Heavy 3-Piece canvases, it’s a massive rocket with immense power. In fact, it’s the most powerful rocket in the world - by quite some distance. It’s so powerful that it could even transport people to the moon or Mars in the future!

Again, this helps motivate us to succeed by showing you that barriers are there to be broken through. For years, people thought we’d reached the peak of spacecraft technology. It was suggested that travel to Mars was decades and decades away. Then, along comes SpaceX with a rocket that possesses twice the power of the previous most-powered one. It’s insane, and you should use this as motivation for your own goals in life. Don’t be afraid to think big and smash through any barriers that society has put up in front of you!

Thinking Outside The Box

One of the things that make so many people a fan of SpaceX is that they’re a company that does things differently. They think outside the box, and this is very motivational for everyday people like you and I. It’s refreshing to see a massive company try things that are extremely risky, and witness them work! No one on planet earth thought we’d ever see a car flying around in space taking video footage of earth, no one! And yet, SpaceX did it with a Tesla.

It was surreal to see the live stream of this Tesla Roadster in space, but it was also symbolic. It should inspire us all to think outside the box and to try new and whacky things. We’ve got a Red car on the red Planet Poster that perfectly sums up SpaceX for me. It shows the possible future of the company, what Elon Musk is dreaming of. But, at the same time, it showcases his ability to think outside the box and consider things no one else dares to dream of.

SpaceX is such an extraordinary company that has really motivated me to approach life differently. Dare to do things others are afraid to do, break through the barriers people put in front of you and work hard to make your way to the top, even if you have to start at the bottom.
