Just a little while after starting SpaceX Fanstore, we wanted to design our very own logo to use on our website and to use on our own SpaceX shirt and other SpaceX clothing. We were thinking about complex designs, integrating Mars, The BFR and Falcon Heavy into one logo, but nothing came out right. It had to be more simple we thought, using some basis elements from all the amazing things SpaceX had accomplished over the past years.
Then all of a sudden we had an epiphany! Why not form the X from SpaceX by using the burn of two Falcon 9's?! And to make it even cooler, we wanted them to launch from the Of Course I Still Love You and Just Read the Instructions droneships. Having the droneships in the designs, turned out to be a bit too much of a good thing, so we changed that to just having them launch from an anonymous SpaceX landing platform. The perfect logo for a SpaceX T-shirt was born.
It turned out we were not the only ones that love our logo. In just a few months, our SpaceX shirt became the most popular product of our shop. So what are you waiting for? Get your own Space T-shirt! ;-)
